Is there any difference in models between the grey Johnson A419 controller and the blue one?
Midwest Supplies (grey) - $75.95http://www.midwestsupplies.com/johnson-digital-temperature-controller.html
Northern Brewer (blue) - $79.99http://www.northernbrewer.com/brewing/johnson-controls-a419-digital-temp-controller.html
I'm looking for wired since I have none of the tool, or experience to do the wiring, so these are the best prices I've found --- any other suggestions for better price?
The temp differential adjustment is different, as is the probe lead length. The NB description says the adjustment is 1 - 3 degrees while the MW is 1 - 30.
the differential is configurable between 1 and 30. NB must have forgot the zero.
So, there's no real difference -- aside from the possible difference in probe length?
yeah, no difference aside from possible probe length. wiring is done after the factory, so that might be a little different too.
fyi, midwest says "out of stock"....
I have this one and a better price.http://www.pexsupply.com/Johnson-Controls-A419ABC-1C-Single-Stage-Digital-Temperature-Control-120-240v-SPDT
