So I've been brewing for a long time now and it seems I've been noobing it up using dish soap on all my equipment to clean after brewing. I have a food grade hose hooked up outside to spray everything out afterwards with cold water. I have only used soap and every now and then BKF on my kettle when it needs polishing. I have not experienced no head retention in my beers, but i feel like it could be better.

What do you guys and girls use for your equipment? I will be using bkf for now on on all my metal but am confused on what household cleaner to use for plastic.

PBW or OXY are the usual cleaners used by most

I just hose out my mash tun after use. I dont use any cleaner on it. When I take out my ball valve, I let that soak in Oxy but thats about it.

Everything that comes out of there will be boiled anyway.

When I was using a cooler mash tun, I put 30 batches through it with nothing but a good spray out with the garden hose.

This and this.
