My 5 gallon is 19.5 inches tall, and 10.75 across. Hope that helps.

You asked for circumference, my bad. If memory serves me right, it would be like 33.75 inches around... I think...

Right, i figured i could solve for the diameter... I picked up a compact fridge today and am making some other upgrades also. I have been using Ale Pails (which will fit in this fridge), but wanted to know if Carboys would fit. After i rig up a temp controller i'm going to use it for fermenting and serving. Thanks

I have a 7CF freezer I ferment in. If I use carboys I can fit one. If I use kegs (homebrew kegs) I can fit 4. Mainly because I have a big shelf on the side.

For anyone who stumbles across this in the future, I have a large dorm fridge, and it'll fit a 5 gallon BB with a blowoff tube without having to mess with the freezer section. Using a regular bubbler airlock, or a 6.5 gallon carboy will need the freezer section area to fit.
