Default Can i use this as a MLT?

I was clearing out a shed at the end of my aunties garden, and i found a 5gal cool box, with a lid that plugged in to keep it either cool/warm.

It however is just a cool box, and does not have a spigot on it.
Can i drill a hole and place my own valve? Or will this destroy the insulating effect of it and leak everywhere? ]

Its not exactly flat at the sides, and i dont know how their built, s not sure what i would be drilling through to make a hole.

Can i use this or do i need to get hold of a proper drinks cooler with a tap already that i can replace?

If the cool-heat elements are not in the way I don't see why you couldn't drill it and add a spigot.

No, the cool/heat elements are separate on the lid, but the box itself is the same.
