Um, they might have like a rubber drain plug that might be the right size.

No LBS?

The do have them - the question becomes if they are food-safe or not. They'd need to be drilled if they were usable. You could also rig something up with saran wrap and tape to seal off your carboy - it'd be ghetto as hell...and likely not worth having it fall inside your carboy and getting an infection.

I'd suggest playing it safe and order a real food-safe bung from online and also order a bunch of other ingredients to stockpile with to make the shipping worth your while.

Lots of folks just use sanitized tinfoil on their primary fermenter.

How about a blow off tube that just fits inside the opening?

I've bought the black rubber stoppers from Lowes and they smell like a new set of tires. Definitely not something you want coming in contact with your beer!

No need for an airlock for primary fermentation really, so much CO2 is being pushed out that all you need is something to make sure particles and bugs and crap doesn't get in. Worry about airlocking after your initial vigorous fermentation starts winding down.
