I will be welding my burner bases to my stand tommorrow, All of the pictures that I see of the "tree" style stands have the boil kettle directly below the hlt, my plan was to have hlt to the right, mlt to the left, and the boil kettle in the front, and a ring for propane tank just opposite, any reason that I shouldn't do this?
I actually thought of doing exactly that when I built mine. The only reason I didn't is because the L-R-L design is just a little more compact and I store mine in my garage in front of our Expedition, so there's not much extra room. If a little more space isn't a problem, I'd say go for it. Either way, you'll love it!
