I tried it. I tried recirculating into a hop bag too.

This method took two attempts but ultimately is what works for me. First attempt was a weldless DIY grant. Proved the concept worked for me to pull the trigger on a better fitted peice of equipment.

FTR, brewershardware also sells a tube contraption that performs the same function.

I see, it looks impressive. I was looking at brewhardware.com instead and didn't see it. then I slowed down and read.

So the hop stopper screen didn't cut it for you? This is what I have:

Ayup. Had that. It did a great job with pellet hops. Not so great for me mixed with break and hops.

Was the problem the lack of good flow, or did much break material get through?

Always clogged for me. But then again, I have a habit of forming massive amounts of break in the kettle.
