Default Blichmann Hopblocker

Question about the Blichmann Hopblocker...

I'm contemplating some all-grain upgrades and have been thinking about some Blichmann gear. I saw the Hopblocker and watched the video, but I'm confused about how it functions with regard to hop schedules. It appears to me that the Hopblocker is filled with hops, wort is added, and brewing begins. Doesn't this negate any sort of hop schedule?

Thx

Not at all. You don't fill the device with hops. It's supposed to block hops from getting into the dip tube that rests inside the device.

The HopBlocker is just a filter device to remove hops and trub from your wort at the end of boiling.

FWIW, I have used it and it functions as described by John Blichmann.
