Recipes 

I was wondering if any of you have used (or have heard anything about) the Better Bottle product, and if so, what you have thought of it. Any concerns for scratching, leaching, etc?

The non-glass carboys with a racking outlet sounds like a good idea, but I am hesitant to use anything other than glass, being the creature of habit that I am.

There was a thread about them a while back, I think the concensus was, if it works for you, then go ahead. They are supposed to be food safe, and all that, but I'll stick to glass.

I'm quite curious in them as well. Not the racking port version, because the bottle is more expensive and then the racking mechanism adds even more. I think they came out to 45/bottle that way. Rather than 23 or so just for a plain non ported bottle.

My biggest concern would be o2 permeability.
