So I just got a 15.5 cu. ft. chest freezer off of craiglist that I want to serve beer from. Right now I have 3 kegs going with picnic taps in a fridge, so I know I'm going to have to upgrade all of that. But first I know I need a temp controller, and I was wondering what people thought is the best for the money, and where to buy it.

It's hard to go wrong with a Ranco.

I have experience with both the Ranco and Love controllers. Both work well but the Love has to be mounted in something where the Ranco is self contained.

I just got the ranco. Easy to use and setup.
I have not used the JC one so I cannot comment on the comparison.

I was thinking that was the best way to go, but wanted to make sure. So if I buy the one in the link, is anything else required to make it work, or is it just plug it in and you are ready to go?

That link from what I can tell does NOT have the electrical connections hooked up.

There is another one on that page that has the aC plug ins.
