I have to say that after much research I'll retract my last comment. I think that I'll go Blichmann when I'm ready for larger boils. The primary reason being the distance from the top of the burner to the bottom of the kettle. The KAB6 sits the kettle too high from the burner and it seems folks wind up having a welder cut and lower the bars so that it's closer to the burner for best results.

what about the windscreen on the SP-14?

didn't it meet expectations with the wind screen addition?

Oh no, my SQ-14 with windscreen addition is awesome for my 5 gallon batches. I'm assuming that I'll need a bigger burner when I move to bigger batches and using something like a keggle. When I get there, I'll probably get the Blichmann for the kettle and use my SQ-14 for HLT.

Till then... The SQ-14 is kickin' some arse!
