Default 8" sparge arm question!

Seems as if the 10" sparge arm on morebeer has been discontinued for a while. Now, if my 10 gallon cooler is 12" in diameter, what is the problem with using an 8 inch sparge arm? Yes, it is 2" short on each side, but if you keep 1" of water above the grain at all times, who cares? It is simply a delivery system, right?

Yeah, I don't have both, but I wonder myself if the copper parts are actually teh same size. But, I made my 8 incher bigger by buying a piece of CPVC and I just cut longer pieces so it would fit on my 10 gallon cooler.

The spray definitely still gets to the edges of the cooler.

Perfect, that settles it... I will get the 8" sparger since it is in stock and will work with little modification
