Hey,
thanks to the infinite usefulness of craigslist I just picked up 3 packs of bottles for my upcoming brew. they look new, and each pack was $3 for 20 bottles. They are almost like bombers, but they are wider with a shorter neck. they actually hold a little more volume too. I am still a rookie and have never actually bottled before, so do you think they will work? I tried to cap an empty and it seemed to work. Also, was this a good deal?

Damn thats awesome....must be brand new!

Go back and get more if you can....how big are they?

Not 40's I wish
If I had homebrewed 40's that would be friggin' sweet. The gutterbum inside of me meets a sophisticated palate.
they are just over 25 oz. I think the long neck bombers are 22.

Looks like a deal to me.. One thing I do prior to filling bottles that I have not used before is to cap an empty one and try to pop it off by hand. If it dose pop off it will not hold carb. You can also look at the cap and see that it is not centered or off to one side.
