32Q kettle conversion
I have a 32Q pot I'm planning on using as a boil pot and want to add a thermometer and ball valve to it. I am just wondering what size drill bit is used to drill the hole for the ball valve and the thermometer?

You'll need a step bit like
this
to drill the hole for the ball valve.

I would test as you drill with the step bit. If you get the hole too big, you're outta luck!
