Default 15 Gallon Plastic Fermenter

The top looks really customizable for the same price as a better bottle or carboy 1/3 the size.

Found these on US Plastics..

We use those to store our Ethidium Bromide contaminated waste buffers prior to hazmat collection here in lab. I've pondered gettting one of them many a day... They're VERY sturdy.

USP's prices are great, until you get to shipping. It always seems to come out at about 50%, regardless of weight or size.
I saw someone here post that hospitals buy bulk bleach in these containers and you might be able to get one free (or for a home brew)

abracadabra: not sure what you're describing, but I don't believe you're talking about the same item. AFAICT, these are solid one-piece units. There are two small openings on the top, each with threaded, sealing plugs. No metal to be found anywhere. These appear identical to the HDPE containers we use in my lab, as I mentioned, and they should make great fermentation chambers.

Looks to me like the smaller of the two openings might even be useable with a drilled stopper or possibly even a carboy cap...

How do you clean these? It doesn't look like the top screws off. Does it?
