Gearing up for All-Grain
I need to have my All-Grain setup ready to brew by March (or April at the latest) of this year in order to make the 30 gallons required for my in-laws 40th wedding anniversary party. My setup will consist of a three-tier gravity system with the HLT and BK bolted to my basketball post (4" x 4" tube steel). The HLT and BK are converted kegs, and the MLT is a Coleman Xtreme 70 qt. cooler. This past weekend, I finally got around to finishing the MLT. I utilized BobbyM's no-leak MLT design, with one modification. I coated the insulation at the spigot cut-out with silicone caulk to ensure that if anything did leak by the seal, it wouldn't soak into the insulation. The modification went fairly quickly. I'm using a braided water heater hose for false bottom. Pictures will be posted later this week. Next up: finishing the keggles, ordering the burners, making an immersion chiller and building a fermentation chamber.
