I started writing this blog stuff to reference bacl to at a later date and then got lazy and stopped. Now i regret this decision as i just brewed up a batch of Pale Ale for a second time and have no notes to refer to.

The fermentation took 26 hours before it really got going and now, its rather unimpressive display. I think it went similarly last time, i dont quite remember. Had i had notes to refer too i probobly would have done a starter for the WLP001, insteading of just pitching...

1/17/09 Honey Wheat

Posted 01-17-2009 at 04:11 PM by Shinglejohn
Alright, here it is! My third beer. This is another "brewers best" kit. I think this will be the last of these kits i do. Im going to start venturing into some of the recipes ive been saving. I am not doing this beer exactly as it comes in the kit. I am going to replace a portion of the wheat extract with orange blossom honey. Not being entirely sure when to add the honey im going to add some with the extract and some at flame out, as thse seem to be the two sides i hear about most....

Brew day-
Ive been reading online all about this and i got say i was scared out of wits about cleanliness, but i think i did A good job. I used unscented detergent to clean everything and bleach/water for sanitization.

The brew...
