I started at noon. Go get the grilled fired up and the rub on the ribs. I was looking for 225* all day on a gas grill...tall order. Fired up the kettle too.

Cream of Three Crops is on the agenda, except I conducted my own cereal mash. Yikes. Add a 90 minute mash and boil, what a long day.

I found the sweet spot for the ribs and they turned out damn good. I learned 4.5 hours wasn't enough though, next time I'll shoot for 6 hours.

So I live near one of the greatest microbreweries in the country. 3Floyds. I've always loved this beer. The hop aroma really got me. So here is my little recipe. I don't wanna call it a clone. The IBUs are higher, because I wanted them higher. Its a bit darker. Thats okay with me. So here it is...
6 LBs Red Wheat
4 LBs Pale Malt
1 LBs 40L
.5 OZ Amarillo 60 min
1 OZ Amarillo 10 min
2 OZ Amarillo Flameout
2 OZ Amarillo Dry Hop
