Boerderij Kabouter's Suggested AG Starter Rig

This is the brewery I suggest saving for and purchasing when you want to get into AG brewing. It may look expensive, but if you start buying coolers, fittings, and all the other stuff that you need to scrap together a bare bores system you will likely spend at least $500-700.

Many people will tell you "NO! You only need a $50.00 cooler conversion.". OK, what about a burner for the boil? What about a pot for a full boil? What about tubing? What about the endless number...

Sibella Eavan, my daughter

Well, Danika did a great job and gave birth to our first child on June 4, 2009 at 12:58 AM. Sibella Eavan (pronounced si-bella A-ven) was born weighing seven pounds three ounces and measuring twenty and one half inches long.

If I were to start again as a new brewer, just getting into the hobby, this is what I would purchase. I wasted a lot of money on equipment buying minor upgrades and quick fixes. If you are rather sure you will enjoy the hobby and want to take it seriously, this is how I would get started.

1. A good kettle capable of full boils. I prefer stainless because I think it is more durable, easier to clean, and you have no upkeep. Others will argue that Aluminum is just fine, and it is,...

Just bought Pelicks and shanks!

Today I got the go ahead to purchase 4 perlick seal forward faucets and 4 nipple shanks for my chest freezer! I am really excited and wanted to post it somewhere! I will put up picks once I get my design figured out and the build is done. I am having a really hard time deciding between a coffin box or a collar. Either way, I need to have it done by October 18 for my Oktoberfest party.
